Hot dog is one of the most popular street food delicacies. It is inexpensive, looks appetizing, and nourishes perfectly. But buying this snack from street vendors can be unsafe. It is much better to make your own hot dogs from those products, the quality of which is beyond doubt. And here is a simple recipe for preparing this dish in a grill pan.
thin pita bread – 2 pcs.
sausages – 2 pcs.
large tomatoes – 1 pc.
tomato sauce or ketchup – 20 g
granular mustard – 2 tsp
hard cheese – 60 g
Chinese cabbage – 220 g
light mayonnaise – 20 g
Wash the vegetables in running water and dry. Disassemble the Chinese cabbage into leaves, which will then need to be cut into thin strips. Chop the tomato into small pieces.
Heat the grill pan well. And when it gets hot, put the sausages on it. Fry them for 2-3 minutes until golden stripes appear.
Take the first pita bread and spread it on your work surface. Place half of the chopped cabbage and tomatoes exactly in the middle. Place the sausage on top.
Spice it all up with mayonnaise, tomato sauce and mustard.
Sprinkle with cheese, which also needs to be taken in exactly half of the serving.
Wrap the pita bread so that all the filling remains inside, then start preparing the second hot dog.
Use the double-sided grill pan to grill your food evenly. Keep hot dogs in it for two minutes. Check the degree of doneness by the pita bread, which should become crispy.
If you want to make your homemade hot dog a little spicier, then add Korean-style carrots to the recipe by mixing them with Chinese cabbage.
