Brownie Recipe

Budget brownies are made with cocoa powder.

8 servings, preparation: 1 hr.

180g chocolate (65-70% cocoa)

150g butter

2 large eggs

150g sugar

100g flour

80 ml chocolate syrup

pinch of sea salt

1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C without convection. Butter a 22 cm wide tin and sprinkle with cocoa powder. Cut the butter into small pieces and allow to come to room temperature. Lightly beat the eggs and sugar. 2.

Cut the chocolate into evenly sized pieces and melt in the microwave or in a water bath, stirring. Stir in the chocolate syrup and remove from the heat.

3. Add the butter, beat with a whisk, then add the eggs and sugar and mix again to a smooth mixture.

4. Sieve the flour into a bowl, add the salt; mix well and add to the chocolate mixture.

5. Place the batter in the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. (the core should remain moist). Remove from the oven, allow the brownies to cool completely in the mould and cut into squares.
