Celery And Carrot Crisps

Ingredients

vegetable oil – 300 ml

celery (root) – 100 g

large carrots – 3 pcs.

salt – to taste

Peel celery and carrots, celery cut into thin plates, carrots – thin circles.

Pour boiling water over the vegetables and leave for 4 minutes. Drain, dry, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a saucepan and fry celery and carrots, 4-5 minutes at a time, until golden. Remove with a skimmer and place on a paper towel. The same technique can be used to make traditional potato chips, as well as beets, daikon, turnips, parsnips and rutabagas.
